Range Safety Officer Program

Alberta Federation of Shooting Sports Range Safety Officer Training and Certification 
The Range Safety Officer (RSO) Course is designed to provide an individual with the skills and techniques needed to become an effective RSO. Emphasis is on safe practices at the rifle, pistol, shotgun, black powder ranges incorporating the Alberta Federation of Shooting Sports guidelines. We provide a lot of information on strategies and techniques for dealing with people in a variety of situations including group management and high stress situations. We cover a variety of shooting environments and disciplines. Included is hands on scenarios using the people skills and knowledge of techniques being taught.

Standardized training as an RSO
Certification as an RSO for Alberta
Only non-sport specific or non-range specific official certification for Range Safety Officers in Alberta
