ALBERTA SPORTING CLAYS ASSOCIATION

 The Alberta Sporting Clay Association (ASCA) has:

  • Grown to over 700 members in the province.
  • Organized and coordinated, throughout the province and Western Canada, over 40 competitive and social shooting events every year.
  • Provided safety and shooting instruction courses with special emphasis on junior and ladies programs.

Examples:

  • Brooks, AB - 70 junior members and 6 training sessions held for 40 students per session.
  • Grande Prairie, AB - 80 junior members and 5 training sessions held for 30 students per session.
  • Carstairs, AB/Calgary, AB - 150 students and 40 ladies through instruction programs.
  • Brought into the province some of the best instructors and course setters in the world to “train our trainers.”
  • Introduced to Alberta shooters international clay venues like FITASC, a European originated format which is gaining in popularity.
  • Introduced Alberta shooters to shotgun side games similar to Make-A-Break.
  • Supported Alberta shooters attending international events.

Objective

To promote the sport of Sporting Clays.
